Welcome to the Blytheville Fire Department.

It is an honor to serve as Fire Chief and to lead the dedicated men and women of our department. Every day, our firefighters work to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Blytheville while providing professional and dependable service to our community.

Our service extends beyond emergency response. We continually work to improve our training, equipment, operations, fire prevention efforts, and community outreach so that our department is prepared to meet the needs of today and the challenges of the future.

I am proud of the professionalism and dedication of our firefighters and grateful for the continued support of our citizens, Mayor, and City Council. As Fire Chief, my goal is to continue moving the Blytheville Fire Department forward while maintaining the tradition of service our community expects and deserves.

About the Blytheville Fire Department

The Blytheville Fire Department provides 24-hour fire protection and emergency response to the City of Blytheville. Our department operates as an all-hazards emergency response organization, prepared to respond to a wide range of incidents affecting our citizens, businesses, and visitors.

Our responsibilities extend well beyond structural firefighting. Blytheville firefighters respond to emergency medical calls, motor vehicle accidents, rescue situations, hazardous materials incidents, fire alarms, severe weather events, and other emergencies throughout the community.

The department currently operates from two fire stations, allowing personnel and apparatus to be positioned to provide dependable emergency response throughout the city.

Fire Protection & ISO Classification

The Blytheville Fire Department currently maintains an ISO Public Protection Classification of 3/3X.

ISO classifications evaluate several components of a community's fire protection system, including fire department capabilities, emergency communications, water supply, training, equipment, and other factors.

Maintaining a strong ISO classification is an important part of our commitment to providing effective fire protection to the citizens and businesses of Blytheville.

Fire Prevention & Community Safety

Preventing emergencies is just as important as responding to them.

The Blytheville Fire Department works throughout the community to reduce fire risk through fire inspections, code enforcement, public education, school programs, station visits, and community outreach.

Our firefighters regularly work with children, families, businesses, and community organizations to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Fire prevention efforts help protect lives, reduce property loss, and make Blytheville a safer community.

Training & Preparedness

Emergency response requires constant preparation.

Blytheville firefighters participate in ongoing training throughout the year to maintain and improve the skills necessary to respond safely and effectively to emergencies. Training includes firefighting operations, emergency medical response, rescue, hazardous materials, apparatus operations, incident command, and other specialized disciplines.

Our goal is simple: when our community calls for help, we want our firefighters to be trained, equipped, and ready to respond.

Our Commitment to Blytheville

The Blytheville Fire Department has a proud tradition of service to this community. As Blytheville continues to grow and change, our department will continue working to improve our capabilities, modernize our equipment and facilities, develop our personnel, and prepare for the future.
